Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation has moved National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) over a school performance at Madrasa HK Public School in Uttar Pradesh’s Budaun, where a child dressed as Lord Hanuman was seen on stage mouthing abusive language.

In their complaint, the Foundation, which is the welfare arm of Rashtra Jyoti, has urged NHRC to take cognisance of the incident and call for a report from District Magistrate, Budaun, and concerned education authorities on conduct of event and institutional approval behind it.

The Foundation has also asked the Commission to identify individuals responsible for planning and supervising the performance.

The Foundation has further requested examination of use of minor children in such performance, stating that requiring children to enact abusive dialogue raises concerns relating to their dignity and welfare.
