Rashtra Jyoti has launched weekend street self-defence classes in New Delhi, where participants are trained in practical techniques to respond to real-world threats.
The classes are held at Rashtra Jyoti Kendra in Budh Vihar area. If you wish to attend the classes, you can email at office@rashtrajyoti.com. We would require an ID proof for due verification.
Classes are held every Saturday and Sunday from 12 pm to 3 pm, unless there is some change in the schedule due to unavoidable situations.
The training covers two key scenarios: mob-based physical assault and close-range knife attacks.
Participants are provided training in immediate defensive responses, techniques to create distance from an aggressor, and methods to handle a weapon-wielding attacker at close range.
The programme – designed by Rashtra Jyoti founder Sanjeev Newar – places equal emphasis on mental preparedness and physical response, preparing individuals to act decisively in sudden situations.
The weekend format is being introduced as a regular initiative to equip citizens with practical self-defence skills. Before these regular classes, sessions have been conducted earlier in other parts of Delhi, and the programme is now being expanded on a consistent basis.
We also run a full-time Martial Arts training institute in Jodhpur, catering specifically to Pakistani Hindu refugee children.
